Ingredients

4 cups boiling water
1 cup packed fresh mint leaves (you can also use 3 mint tea bags if you don’t have fresh mint)
2 tablespoons honey (or agave or sugar)
juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

Pour the boiling water over the mint leaves in a pitcher. Allow the water to cool to room temperature.
Stir in the lemon juice and honey.
Chill in the fridge until cold. Pour over ice when ready to serve.

Notes

Hot version: Skip the chilling and enjoy it warm.

Sparkling twist: Top it off with sparkling water for a fizzy treat.

Add extra flavor: Fresh ginger slices, cucumber, or a splash of orange juice all work beautifully.

Storage: Keep any leftover tea in a covered pitcher in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just give it a stir before serving since the lemon and sweetener can settle.
